Esther Ferris is an esteemed American celebrity mother, who initially embarked on her career as a department store model and spent a significant portion of her formative years in Beirut. She is widely recognized as the mother of Jeanine Pirro, a prominent American television host, author, and former New York State judge, prosecutor, and politician.
Pirro notably served as the host of Fox News Channel’s Justice with Judge Jeanine until 2022, after which she assumed the role of co-host on The Five. Her contributions to NBC News were extensive, with regular appearances on The Today Show. Notably, she held the distinction of being the first female judge elected in Westchester County, New York.
Her career highlights include her election as the first female district attorney of Westchester County. Their family followed the Maronite Catholic faith, and from a young age, Jeanine aspired to become an attorney.
Completing her education with exceptional speed, she graduated from Notre Dame High School in Elmira in three years and gained valuable experience through an internship at the Chemung County District Attorney’s office during her high school years.
Jeanine continued her academic pursuits, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from the University at Buffalo. Subsequently, she achieved her J.D. degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1975, where she distinguished herself as an editor of the law review.
