He spent six months as an ABC News correspondent in London in 1977 before leaving the position and moving back to Boston to work as a reporter and co-anchor for WNAC-TV, a competing station. Before leaving in 1983 to pursue legal studies at the University of Chicago Law School, Taibbi worked for WNEV-TV.
