Lahren applied to One America News Network (OANN) in search of an internship in political commentary, received an interview, and was instead offered the opportunity to host her own show. She relocated to San Diego and began working for OANN. In August of 2014, On Point with Tomi Lahren premiered.

A video of her commentary on the 2015 Chattanooga shootings went viral in July 2015. Lahren announced on August 19 that she had finished her final show with OANN. In November 2015, she relocated to Texas and began a new show with TheBlaze.
