In July 2019, two-time Super Bowl champion and 11-year NFL veteran Rob Ninkovich joined ESPN as an NFL analyst. Ninkovich frequently contributes to Get Up, First Take, NFL Live, SportsCenter, ESPN Radio and other studio shows on ESPN.
His primary positions as a player were outside linebacker and defensive end. The eight seasons he spent with the New England Patriots (2009–16) were his most prosperous as a professional. He was a starter in 16 of the Patriots’ 17 postseason games and helped the team win two titles, Super Bowl XLIX and LI.
During the course of the 2010–16 season, he recovered an NFL-high 14 fumbles and recorded eight sacks three years in a row, becoming the first Patriots player to do so since Hall of Famer Andre Tippett. He was co-captain in both the 2013 and 2015 squads.
He played for the Miami Dolphins (2007–08) and New Orleans Saints (2006, 2008) before signing with the Patriots. Ninkovich, who was selected in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft, participated in 131 NFL regular-season games during his career.
