She was a two-time Olympic medallist, a four-time First Team All-American during her collegiate career, and an All-Star softball outfielder. She was a member of the US women’s national softball team from 2004 to 2010 in addition to her time as a Stanford player from 1999 to 2002. Mendoza won a gold medal in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. She also took home a silver medal from the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
