Edie Lambert is an American journalist.
She currently hosts the newscasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. on Sacramento’s KCRA. Lambert previously worked as a news anchor and producer at KEYT-TV before joining KCRA News.
Edie began working as a reporter and morning anchor for KCRA in July 1995. Later, she replaced Ron Jones as the weekend anchor, a role she held through 2002. Her next position was co-anchoring the weekend evening newscasts with Kevin Riggs. Early in 2006, Lambert switched roles to co-anchor the newscasts at 6 and 11 o’clock with John Alston. She is partnered with Gulstan Dart at the moment.
Lambert has also received numerous honors, including an Emmy Award for a documentary she produced on breast cancer. Additionally, Sacramento Magazine’s readers have consistently chosen her as their best local reporter and then best anchor.
