He was the captain of the North Miami Senior High School tennis team, the editor of the school newspaper, and a teen freelance reporter for The Miami Herald (known as a “stringer”).
Zucker ran for president of his sophomore, junior, and senior classes with the slogan “The little man with big ideas.” In 1982, he received his diploma from North Miami Senior High School.
