Kerr’s journey in basketball began during his college years at the University of Arizona, where he excelled as a two-time first-team all-conference player in the Pac-10, ultimately earning All-American honors in his senior year, in 1988. Notably, during the 1987-88 season, Kerr set the NCAA single-season three-point field goal percentage record, an impressive feat at 57.3%.
Drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the second round of the 1988 NBA draft, Kerr enjoyed a successful 15-season career in the NBA, securing five championships, three with the Chicago Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs.
