During the 2002 Winter Olympics, she captained the Canadian women’s ice hockey team and helped them win a gold medal. During the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, the left winger assumed the captaincy once more and skillfully guided her team to a gold medal with a 4-1 victory over Sweden.
