Bethel Music
Redding, California-based Bethel Church is the home of the American music label and worship movement known as Bethel Music, which was founded in 2001.
From being a small-town church music ministry, Bethel Music has expanded to include a group of songwriters, musicians, and artists.
They concentrate on creating worship music and albums, the majority of which are created and performed by the group’s artist collective.
With writers and worship leaders working out of Bethel Church in Redding, California, Bethel Music quickly expanded from a modest local church music ministry to a full-fledged record label and publishing firm between 2009 and 2013.
Bethel Music introduced its Artist Collective in January 2015, bringing in Josh Baldwin, Jonathan and Melissa Helser, and other local artists from North Carolina. They included Cory Asbury, a former member of the International House of Prayer, in May of that same year.
It was announced in September 2015 that Leeland would also be a part of the Collective. William Matthews, a longtime member of the Bethel Music Collective, and Bethel Music announced in a press release that William will be leaving the group on November 2, 2016. A few days later, it was revealed that Sean Feucht will formally join the Bethel Church artist collaborative.
