Brady was raised as a Roman Catholic, but he stated in a 2015 interview with The New York Times that he is more spiritual than religious. According to Brady, “I’m undecided about what I believe.
I believe there is a belief system, but I don’t know what it is.” Brady was in a relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan from 2004 to late 2006.
Brady and Moynahan ended their relationship around the time Moynahan became pregnant in early December 2006. Moynahan confirmed to People magazine on February 18, 2007, that she was more than three months pregnant with Brady’s child. In August 2007, at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, John Edward Thomas Moynahan was born.
In December 2006, Brady began dating Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen. Brady claimed in 2009 that a mutual friend set them up on a blind date. Brady and Bündchen married in a small Catholic ceremony in Santa Monica, California, on February 26, 2009. They have two children together: a son, Benjamin Rein, born in December 2009, and a daughter, Vivian Lake, born in December 2012.
When baseball player Kevin Youkilis married Brady’s sister Julie in 2012, they became brothers-in-law. Maya Brady, Brady’s niece, is a UCLA Bruins college softball player. Brady and his family split their time between Brookline, Massachusetts, and New York City.
They have several homes together and spend the summers at the Yellowstone Club near Big Sky, Montana, as well as at their home in Amenia, New York.
Brady rented a mansion in Tampa, Florida, owned by Derek Jeter, a retired baseball player and owner of the Miami Marlins, when he signed with the Buccaneers. Brady and Bündchen are said to have purchased a home in Indian Creek, Florida, in December 2020.
