Polly Brindle Parents, Siblings, Education
Polly grew up in Barnoldswick in a four-bedroom semi-detached house with her two siblings, older sister Ellen and younger brother Harvey, as well as her parents, Geoff and Clare.
Polly’s architect father and taxidermist mother divorced when she was 12 years old. On Instagram, the Selling the OC cast member recently shared a photo of their long-awaited 3-year family reunion in June 2022.
Polly went to school in Lancashire until she was 16, after being spotted by a modeling scout the year before.
She left home at the age of 16 to pursue a modeling career for major brands such as Dior, Aston Martin, and Lancôme, living and working in Paris, Milan, and Barcelona, respectively.
Polly Brindle has a Northern accent because she is from Lancashire. Anyone who has been following along will be aware that some of her American co-stars have struggled to understand her at times.
Polly’s bosses, Brett and Jason Oppenheim, told her in an early episode of Selling the OC that they could “barely understand” her. While co-realtor Alex Hall suggested that Alexandra Jarvis’ strange looks at Polly could be because “she doesn’t understand what you’re saying,” An exasperated Polly replied: “I literally speak English!”
In a recent interview, Polly discussed her accent and coworkers. “They misunderstand me so often that they made a point of putting it on the show,” she said, adding that fellow agent Lauren Brito “acts as a speed translator” for the rest of the group.
Polly Brindle, then 25, relocated to Los Angeles, California in 2011. She had married her then-husband a year before, and the two had decided to leave London and relocate to California “to have beach babies and live the American Dream.”
Polly tried her hand at a variety of roles in addition to modeling while settling into life in Los Angeles.
She used to work as a waitress at West Hollywood’s Sunset Tower Hotel (opens in new tab). Her official Oppenheim Group profile (opens in new tab) lists additional “positions as Senior Business Manager for a Luxe Apparel brand and Management at a Boutique Architecture firm.” The latter two “solidified her passion for client-facing negotiations in the luxury market,” leading to her current Real Estate career.
During the pandemic, she relocated to Orange County and studied for her real estate license. She came across the then-under-construction Oppenheim Group office in Newport Beach shortly after, and the rest is history.
Polly has been in the United States for about a decade, but she won’t become a citizen until March 2022. She wrote on Instagram in a celebratory post: “SO excited to finally be able to call the country I have lived in for over a decade, home.” The security of knowing that the place where I have my house, my dog, my friends, and my career is officially official means more to me than most of you will realize. I’m so grateful to be able to have this piece of paper to solidify my place in this amazing country, and I’m acutely aware that so many immigrants can only dream of this privilege.”
Polly currently resides in Orange County with her rescue dog Moose, where she spends her free time doing Pilates and enjoying the laid-back lifestyle associated with the Southern California Coast.
Polly Brindle Husband
Polly Brindle has not publicly revealed the identity of her ex-husband. However, Stephen Wolf is thought to be the culprit. This is based on an Instagram post from January 2017, in which the realtor wished “the hottest husband I have ever had @stephenwolf” a happy birthday.
The Daily Mail, which does not name Polly’s ex-husband, describes him as a model and poker player who is eight years Polly’s senior. Polly married when she was 24 years old.
Polly has spoken out about the breakdown of her marriage on Selling the OC. She said at a group dinner: “I was married for the majority of my twenties. I was acting like the wifey and doing that.”
She went on to describe the “”We took vows, and I took those vows very seriously,” came the response. I married for the rest of my life, and he cheated on me. I saw pictures of him with two women on his phone. They worked as prostitutes.”
Polly explained in a media interview “I’d never suspected anything before, and I’d never snooped on him. But he returned from a trip at the time, and something didn’t add up. When I asked to see his phone, he’d deleted everything, but my brother is a computer genius, and he’d given me software that could recover deleted data.”
“Two days later, he was back in England, and I literally never saw him again,” she added.
