Nicolle Wallace (née Devenish; born February 4, 1972) is a television host and author from the United States. She is best known as the host of the MSNBC news and politics show Deadline: White House and a former co-host of the ABC daytime talk show The View.
She is a regular on-air contributor to Today, The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle, and Morning Joe as a political analyst for MSNBC and NBC News.
Wallace previously worked as the White House Communications Director during George W. Bush’s presidency and re-election campaign in 2004.
Wallace was also a senior advisor to John McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008. She also wrote the contemporary political novels Eighteen Acres, It’s Classified, and Madam President.

Nicolle Devenish was born in Orange County, California, on February 4, 1972. She grew up in the Northern California Bay Area suburb of Orinda, the eldest of four siblings.
Her mother was a public school third-grade teacher’s aide, and her father was an antiques dealer.
Her grandfather, Thomas Devenish, was a Manhattan antiques dealer who operated under the name “Devenish and Company.” He was born in England to vaudevillian parents, and his family immigrated to the United States in 1947. Wallace is of Greek descent as well.

Wallace began her political career in California state politics after briefly working as an on-air reporter.
She moved to Florida in 1999 to work as Governor Jeb Bush’s press secretary, and in 2000 she became the Communications Director for the Florida State Technology Office.

During George W. Bush’s first term, Wallace served as special assistant to the President and director of media affairs at the White House, where she oversaw regional press strategy and outreach.

Sarah Paulson played Wallace in the 2012 film Game Change. Wallace called the film “credible,” saying it “captured the spirit and emotion of the campaign.” Wallace also told ABC News Chief Political Correspondent George Stephanopoulos that the film “made me squirm.” Wallace stated eight years after the election that she did not vote for a presidential candidate in 2008 because Sarah Palin gave her pause.

Wallace joined The View as a new co-host on September 3, 2014, alongside newcomer Rosie Perez. Wallace made her debut as a co-host on the series’ 18th season premiere on September 15, 2014. Wallace was fired from the show at the end of the season.
