Who is Julia Fox?
Julia Fox (born February 2, 1990) is a model and actress of Italian descent. She is best known as an actress for her debut performance in the 2019 film Uncut Gems, for which she received a nomination for the Breakthrough Actor Award at the 2019 Gotham Awards.

Fox was born in Milan, Italy, to a mother from Italy and a father from the United States. Fox spent her childhood with her grandfather.
She moved to New York City with her father when she was six years old, and she lived in Yorkville, Manhattan. She worked in a shoe store, an ice cream shop, and a pastry shop, among other places.
Fox attended City-As-School High School and worked for six months as a dominatrix.
Prior to her role in Uncut Gems, Fox worked as a clothing designer and co-founded Franziska Fox, a successful women’s knitwear line, with her friend Briana Andalore.
She was also a model, posing for the last nude edition of Playboy in 2015, as well as an exhibiting painter and photographer. She self-published two photography books, Symptomatic of a Relationship Gone Bad: Heartburn/Nausea in 2015 and PTSD in 2016.

Fox made her feature film debut in the 2019 Safdie Brothers film Uncut Gems, where she played a showroom saleswoman and the mistress of the film’s protagonist, Howard Ratner (played by Adam Sandler), an erratic jewelry dealer and gambling addict.
Fox had known the Safdie brothers for nearly a decade after meeting Josh Safdie at a cafe in SoHo, Manhattan. She is said to have been Josh Saddle’s muse in ‘Uncut Jams.’
Fox also wrote and directed Fantasy Girls, a short film about a group of Reno, Nevada-based teenage girls involved in sex work.
She appeared as Scarlet, a cam girl, in Ben Hozie’s PVT chat. On February 5, 2021, the film was released in the United States.

Recently, actress Julia Fox gave fans a glimpse into her modest two-room household by doing an “apartment tour” on TikTok. She explained that she does not like “excessive displays of wealth” like having a large home, especially when there are “so many homeless people in this country.” She went on to add that she believes in “maximum transparency” and hopes to make people believe that maybe they are not “doing so bad.”
In the tour, Fox starts off in her living room, which has been transformed into a bedroom, so that she can turn another bedroom into her son Valentino’s playroom. She showcases her unmade bed and goes on to pivot to the other side of the room where a teal scooter, a jungle gym, and a clothing rack are visible. Fox also has a “nostalgia corner” in the room which features various photos of her son, friends and people she has lost over the years.
She also has a “little grow station” which includes two plants that are not currently growing. Fox then shows a hallway filled with boxes and racks, noting that it is “really messy.” She also has shoe boxes in the kitchen, which she notes is “very common for New Yorkers.” Fox also goes on to showcase her son’s playroom which she put the “most effort” into. The room has a white loft bed, train set across the floor, and bookshelf in the corner with various stuffed animals placed around the room.
The actress also reveals that she and her son are co-sleepers, and she has a “small mice problem” in the apartment. She also has two pots which she claims to contain her sister’s ashes.
