For Tucker carlson , When Alec Baldwin tried to explain that he didn’t fire the revolver because he only pulled the hammer back and then released it. Well in older single action guns, there is no striker plate to stop the hammer from striking the firing pin, so when he released the hammer the gun will fire. On newer hand guns the gun wll not fire by pulling the hammer back and then releasing it. The striker plate will stop this action from happening. When Baldwin released the hammer it will strike the firing pin and fire the gun without even pulling the trigger. So he lied. He did in fact fire the gun and it killed the other person. He is totally responsible.
