Christopher Adam Daughtry (born December 26, 1979) is a singer, songwriter, and actor from the United States.
He is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Daughtry, which he founded after finishing fourth on American Idol’s fifth season.
Daughtry’s self-titled first album, released by RCA Records, is the fastest-selling debut rock album in Nielsen SoundScan history, selling over one million copies in just five weeks.
Because the album was recorded before the band was formally constituted, he is the only official member included on it.
