Robyn Griggs, 49 Years
Robyn Griggs (April 30, 1973 – August 13, 2022) was a stage, television, and film actress from the United States.
Griggs began her career as a child actor when she played Molly in Annie and hosted the Nickelodeon kids show Rated K. She was born in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. She rose to prominence in the daytime soap operas One Life to Live as Stephanie Hobart, for which she received a Young Artist Award nomination, and Another World as Maggie Cory.
Griggs claimed on Hard Copy that she was fired from Another World in 1995 because of her relationship with John Wayne Bobbitt, whom she claimed was just a friend, while producers claimed they were taking the role in a new direction.
She took a break from acting in 1995 after growing tired of doing daytime television and nighttime theater. Griggs resumed acting in 2003, primarily in independent horror films such as Zombiegeddon.
Griggs revealed in 2020 that she had stage IV cervical cancer, and she died on August 13, 2022, at the age of 49.
