Angela McGlowan Career
As the manager of public and government affairs for Steve Wynn’s Mirage Resorts, McGlowan developed her expertise in government affairs. She took engaged in lobbying campaigns with the American Gaming Association (AGA) while she was employed there, helping to lay the groundwork for Mirage Resorts’ newest casinos, the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. She also created the advocacy and community outreach initiatives for Biloxi and Las Vegas for Mirage Resorts.
McGlowan held the position of Director of Outreach for the Better America Foundation, a company Senator Bob Dole formed to advance neighborhood empowerment.
She worked on issues of diversity, welfare reform, tax policy, and healthcare as a legislative and press aide for Representative Roscoe Bartlett (R-6th Dist. Maryland) and Representative John Ensign (R-1st Dist. Nevada). In 1996, she worked as Ensign’s successful reelection campaign’s publicist.
